As Perishable Manager it is my job to ensure the customer receives fresh product from my departments and that the product is in stock at all times. I now oversee the conversion of the in-store meat operation to the Fresh Packaged Meat program. On my way up to this position, I trained meat managers and Associates on the proper handling, ordering and processes involved in the program. I also handled the case merchandising, set up the planograms for specific stores and ensured everyone achieved their GP%.
Every day has a new set of tasks; I never feel like I’m in a rut. With so many opportunities to grow within the company, I know I will always have options.
